Tuesday check-in 11/25/08

Just popping in for a few minutes and the I'll play catch up tonight. I have the house to myself while the boys are at school. I did lotsa of the general cleaning before they left and had cookies baking as the 2nd one hit the bus. I've spent time taking a long shower and taking my time with all the girlie things I usually skip or rush through. I've also relaxed with a book for awhile while letting my hair dry and am now going to putter with Christmas presents before I head out to the store with no worring about the boys or rushing. How is everyone elses day looking?

Cool and sunny here this morning. I got up and biked. I have been to the post office and the bank, done two loads of laundry and picked up some dry cleaning .Our turkey was delivered , and I have baked two pies.I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon helping clean our house and decorate for Thanksgiving. I am working until 5, then stopping by Walgreens on my way home for some free deodorant to add to my Christmas baskets. I baked 2 pumpkin pies last night and I need to bake the other pies tonight for Thanksgiving. I have some chicken breasts cooking in the crockpot at home for tonights dinner.

I took today off. I plan on doing some painting, probably a bit of cleaning, and then purchase what I need to make something to take to my mom's on Thanksgiving. Tonight, my husband is taking me out for dinner. (It's my birthday!)

Lets see, am working on laundry, also sheets, and blankets, so whould take all day. Cooked up some veggies that needed to be cooked. Doing basic cleaning, and making a list of things to make tomorrow.

Confrences tonight at 515 and 530 for my kids, and then home to eat, and shower and watch biggest loser. Then at 9 the finale of the shield is on.

Well I am working today and am counting down every second until the end of the day and then Thanksgiving vacation! I have lots planned for tonight. I am cooking for my family and then I have to bake two of my grandmother's pound cakes for someone that ordered them for tomorrow. I need to do a load of laundry, cook some fresh green beans that I bought the other day on sale, and hopefully get some cleaning done around the house...all while watching the finale of Dancing with the Stars.

Today is turning into a busy day around here.
I need to help out at DH's office, which may take most of the day. I will be helping them out with bill and copy editing (he is an editor of a new small weekly paper).
I also need to cook dinner, change the sheets on the bed, fold laundry, clean the bathroom, unload dishwasher, and pay bills.
I am thinking that I crock pot meal may be in order.

Well I was supposed to work but the weather is awful and my boss ordered me to NOT come in today if the roads were bad. I got up and made the kids get up to go to work with me. Ordered breakfast from a little place here. Stopped to get gas and the battery on my Blazer died! Yippee! I walked next door to the resturant and asked a guy I know there to jump start it for me. While he was doing that it started snowing and in five minutes the roads were completely covered. So the kids and I came home! I will miss a day of pay but oh well.

I have washed the dishes

Done three loads of laundry and have more to do

Baked a batch of banana muffins

Made a big kettle of homemade veggie soup to eat on the next two days

Hopefully dh can get me out to work tomorrow and then I will have to get ready for Thanksgiving!

Didn't get much sleep last night- had to work until almost midnight and then the hour drive home- grrr- and my fiancee (I just love typing that!) has to get up at 5:30, and so do our dogs, so it was an early morning. So far I've mopped the hallway downstairs and the dining room, fed dogs, ran vacuum downstairs, hung a couple of pictures, did some Thanksgiving decorating, mopped the stairs and upstairs hallway, set the turkey in the fridge to thaw and collected dog toys from all over the house. I have a test to take for my computer class, dinner to get started and algebra class tonight at 6. And I have a really long list of stuff to get done before bed tonight. But at least I don't have to work!

Oh yeah, and like LexTysMommy, I can't wait for the Shield finale tonight!!!

Today is DH's day off and my last day of work this week. I have a few things to do after I get off work at 2:

*check lumber prices at Lowe's for a home project
*Laundry
*Sit and chat with DH about our Emergency fund
*Open a savings account
*sign up for our new benefits

If I have time, I'm going to paint pinecones for Christmas decorations. Just an hour and a half until Thanksgiving vacation!

Dropped DD off for an all-day volunteer shift at the museum. Will have to ick her up later today.

DS and I are going out to lunch in a few minutes.

Then we will do some shopping.

I am also going to get myself a haircut and my eyebrows waxed.

This evening we are all going the YMCA. The kids will be lifting weights with the youth personal trainer while DH and I do a spin class.

Gotta make a 7-layer salad (gag) to take to my mom's Thursday. However, I may wait until tomorow since making that thing makes me sick to my stomach. But, I know DS and I will go ahead and make the fudge tonight. Might even have to have a few bites of it just to make sure it's good.

Just a normal day today. The boys were supposed to have their Odyssey of the Minds meeting this morning but it got canceled. Which is just as well because I really didn't feel like going out in the sloppy wet mess that is our weather today.

I got the bathroom scrubbed, cleaned out the fridges, and took a shower. I also did two loads of laundry. Now I'm getting ready to go pick up dd. When I get home I'll get a fire going in the woodstove and make some dinner rolls for T-day. I also need to peel the potatoes. I'm going to make them tomorrow and just keep them heated in the crockpot on T-day.

I also need to make the finishing touches on my menu/grocery list. I'm going shopping first thing tomorrow morning.

Well today I have to:
Work until 3pm
Go to cousins house to work on her computers.
Go home and take care of DD
Make dinner
Start laundry
General cleaning of upstairs
Sweep basement
Give DD bath
Relax...lol

Was able to get some forms that I needed.
Came home fed myself and kitty
Did three loads of laundry
Found a recipe for Road Loin of Pork
Now just checking in on the FV

Stll need to vacuum
Other than that it will be a slow day today. May start knitting socks or a scarf today.

I have to be at work at 4:15 p.m., and have spent the rest of the day waiting for the plumber. Sure hope s/he shows up soon! I, too, did laundry, vacuumed, cleaned the kitchen and walked the dog.I may take a short nap until s/he shows up.

I work until 8:15 and then have to be at work at 8 tomorrow morning. ACK! However, I will be done until Monday at 1:45 by tomorrow at 1:30.
