    Default Dr Appointment update

For those of you that remember me, will remember I said I was having hip problems...well had that dreaded ortho appointment. By the time I woke up this morning I was in my mind destined to have a giant flesh eating tumor inside me pushing on my hips...hahahha
Well good thing is that it is fixable and not life ending..lol
I have no cartilage in either hip joint. ouch.....
Will have to have a double hip replacement....ouch...
wants to see me every 6 months for now, and it will be judged by how the quality of my life is going...wow......
Deep Breath.. I am probably going to have it in the first of May, while I only have 2 kids to watch and then recop for the month and start the kids again for the summer.. then have the other when they go back to school..
Can't stop for a minute can I . My mother said once you have them the pain is just gone, and you won't be able to believe that you lived with so much pain.
SO... I just wanted to share.. still kinda numb and kinda sad... nothing a good night and a good kick in the seat of my pants wont fix...
well love and a good thanksgiving to all of you..

You will be so happy you had them done. My mom had both knees replaced and hips done as well. She couldn't believe how much better she felt. Her recovery was QUICK and she has MANY health problems.

I'm sure you will be fine and happy you had it done!

I am dealing with the exact same thing!!!!
I have dealt with hip pain for nearly 20 years - I;m gonna get my right one (the worst of the two) replaced at the beginning of the year next year, and the left one near the end of 09!

Wow. You're kind of young for hip surgery aren't you? I guess that will make your recovery much easier though. Good Luck! My Mom had one hip done but has not wanted to get the other one. I think it has to do with the hospital bills.

Good luck! Somehow it always seems a little easier to deal with once a definate diagnosis is given.
