Hi there from Newcastle, Australia
I thought I would post these intro questions here. I am looking forward to getting to know people and learning from you all!
How did you hear about frugal village?
Via the penpal group from yahoo
What interests you here?
Finding ways to save money and talking to like minded people
What will you contribute?
Anything I can. One of my greatest assets is cooking, and having the ability to make something from next to nothing (and have it taste pretty good!!). This is probably where I can help others out.
Do you know any other members here?
Not yet. Hopefully I will get to know some of you soon!
How many kids? Ages?
I have three kids. One girl age 11, Two Boys ages 2 and 5.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, Heaps!!! One 6mth old puppy named Sally, who we rescued from the RSPCA 3 weeks ago, 2 Rabbits, 4 month old black mini-lop cross brothers named Remy and Ninja who are also new additions to our family. A geriatric rat named Rosie who due to old age has paralized back legs and has to be constantly cared for (like a baby!!) but is otherwise happy and healthy and last but certainly not least at all, is a little mouse who has survived a lot longer that everyone thought he would! He is named Houdini! All my family never thought the mouse would be one of the last ones left of my original pets. He was an only child of his litter, has been overweight (and lost it) twice, been attacked by a wild rat and he is still living!! My 7yr dog had to be put to sleep as he bit a neighbour (that was a very sad day), and of our original rabbits one died from a dog attack (not my dog) and the other of an ear infection not long after (I think she was heart broken from loosing her mate). All these sad events happened in the last 2 months.
Occupation?
Full time mother, hopefully soon to be study Law at University.
Married or single?
Single and happy to stay that way. At the moment I have enough on my plate without juggling a relationship with everything else
Interests and hobbies? I love all aspects of making sterling silver jewelry. I love especially beading and working with wire. I love polishing the stones as well, It is very creative and I love seeing the piece I am working on develop before my eyes. I would love to try lampworking and I am saving up some money so I can take a class or two in the near future.
My other interests include scrapbooking, stamping and photography as well as camping and 4wd trekking. These are the interests that I can involve my kids in and we spend a lot of good times together.

Welcome!
" May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."
