Anyone else not out shopping today? ( black Friday)
I use to love going shopping on Black Friday use to spend to much on good deals.
Now I just prefer to stay home sometimes lamenting about the good deals I would probably be getting.
Anyone else staying home and practicing a buy nothing day?

I never go out the day after Thanksgiving. My gifts for others this year will be homemade things.

My friend and I found such good sales online for items on our lists that we decided to place our orders online and sleep a bit more. I figured with free shipping and comparable prices, that it made more sense to shop from home rather than be tempted by other bargains to spend more on things not on my list. Part of me misses the fun time out with my friend, but I will surely not miss the stress of the experience.

I have never been black friday shopping and I'm not about to start now. I have only my in-laws and husband to buy for. I'll be buying the in-laws something online and I don't know what I'm getting hubby yet.

Not me!!! I went for the first and last time 2 years ago. I couldn't believe the crowds and then the check out lines were horrible. I gave up and came back home and went to bed.
If there had been some good deals this year, dh would of went. He loves it.
I am glad to be home in my warm and comfy house, still in my pj's.

Nope... Too many crazy people...
Well, that and I am severely claustrophobic and the crowds give me panic attacks.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

I'm in my 50's and NEVER have. Ever.

I'm not a 'shopper' to start with. And I've always had tons of people for turkey day, so I'm exhausted, and still have some clean up to do. Plus, DS22 is here and I wouldn't miss a day with him whilst he's home.
I don't get it--the shopping and all. Especially in those kind of crowds.______

Not here either. We went two yrs ago as Walmart had tv's on sale. I live in a small town so we went in, stood next to the pallette they were on. They unwrapped it and we took two tv's ( for our sons) and we were home. It took a half hour. There is nothing we need, want or can afford this yr.

I never shop Black Friday sales. I can't get into the idea of dealing with crowds to amass more stuff.
