    Default Best Thanksgiving ever!

We had the best Thanksgiving. DD2 wanted to cook the meal. As far as I know, she has never done a major dinner like this (she is 26) She asked for a little help with sides, but she did pretty much everything! I bought one of those 18 qt. electric roasters at Target for 29.00 for her to cook the turkey in. Best investment ever!!!! The turkey turned out perfect with NO basting, NO checking, Just stick it in and leave it. There was plenty of drippings for gravey, and she made perfect gravey with just a little guidance. I made the stuffing, which we just did in the oven. She also made gr. bean casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, TWO pies and snacks! I did fruit salad and two batches of cookies and her sister brought rolls and a cranberry salad. It all turned out so well and delicious....I was so proud of her! Her sister and I did all the clean up so she coud relax with a glass of wine with her hubby. I think I have officially passed this meal onto her in the future

That's wonderful. I'm sure she's really proud of herself. Glad you enjoyed it.
