    LOL! Now that was funny.

I love freecycle, have been using it for years. When we were putting in our woodstove I asked for a set of fireplace tools, the poker, tongs, shovel, etc. before I went to buy them (they cost a lot). Some nice guy had an extra set that someone had given them that "didn't go with their decor." Well, I have no decor to speak of :-) so they were fine for us. We have gotten several VCRs on freecycle, lots of clothes, some shoes, flower pots, a bathroom scale, you name it.

I have found 90 people on freecycle over the years that are on my email list to give away the free produce I get weekly, like bruised pears, banana for baking, etc. I feel like I get such deals, I give away old fruit, rocks for landscaping, perennials and houseplants, fabric and yarn my mother left here, things that seem like nothing to me but other people are anxious to get. Also, when tenants move (we own a duplex elsewhere) and leave stuff behind we freecycle that as well. Have given away weird things like a new tire not on a rim, ugly furniture and Christmas tree, etc.

Have also made friends with a few folks by freecycling back and forth to them. I adore freecycle, it is such a great concept.
