Obama's birth certificate contraversy
A lof of people think that there is nothing to this than a bunch of "sore losers", but I happen to value the US consistution even if it's often ignored by our politicans..
Are any of you concerned of following this?
Here is a full page ad taken out in the Chicago Tribune on Dec 1st and supposedly is running again today.
Here is a link to the organization that printed it and in turn a link to the advertisement via a PDF.

Here is a link to a story written by a consistutional lawyer:

There are many different allegations in these law suits, but a few that trouble me the most:
1.) Obama's paternal grandmother has gone on record stating she was in the delivery room in Kenya when Obama was born.
2.) Obama has never provided a birth certificate. He did provide a certification of live birth which is not the same thing as a certifcate of live birth. (At least it's not the the same thing to the Hawaiian government in terms of proving Hawaiian birth as a certification can be created up to a year after birth if a person was born outside the country amoung other reasons for getting a certification vs a certificate)
3.) Obama has spent over $800K fighting these law suits instead of simply putting the matter to rest by providing a birth certificate.
There are numerous other allegations but these are the number 3 that cause me concern.
I didn't vote for Obama personally, but am not angry that he is slated to be the 44th president. None of my canididates of choice had any chance of winning and I knew that long before the election really even got started.
I am resigned to his presidency just as I would have the same feeling of resignation if McCain won.
What I am angry about is that this all just seems so shady. If he is a US born citizen then just get the darn thing over and show a birth certificate and be done with it. Don't fight the lawsuits with over $800K of defense. If he's not a natural born citizen then he is not able to hold the office of president according to the US consistution.
Seems fairly cut and dry to me. Obama himself was a consitiutional lawyer, he should be able to understand people's concerns about the issue of his birth.
Maybe I'm just more "tin foil hat" that others, but if there is even a shred of doubt, I'm not comfortable with the disregaurd of the law.
What are your thoughts on this matter?
*** Let's keep this friendly and on topic!
