Now I remember why I do not like Kmart much
Kmart is not one of my favorite places to shop. If it wasn't for their Martha Stewart items I don't think I would go there at all. But this week I saw that they were doubling coupons up to $2.00 and you could use up to 75. I thought that was great so I went today with coupons in hand. First place I went was Meds and asked if they had Advil cold and sinus and was told that they no longer made it. Bull, I buy it all the time at Walmart. So first thing is they lie to me. Then I start looking for items I have coupons for. I only found about of 1/3 of the items I was looking for and most of the others were so much more expensive, even than the grocery store. I did buy a few things but it was almost a waste of time. I really am not happy right now.

I'm not sure saying the lied is really true - its a bit harsh I mean. It sounds more like the employee didn't have a clue and just made !@#% up that sounded plausible to them.
But it still doesn't lend them much credibility and you really should consider reporting that employee to their manager when you know they're giving out bad info...If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I agree about kmart. I went in there a month ago because they are the only store left nearby that has layaway. So I walked through the toy section to see what they had. Most of their stuff was double what Walmart sold it for. Needless to say I didnt do a layaway.

I'll have to say I like Kmart better now than ever. I found everything I needed and the checkout went great. As for sinus stuff, I would have asked someone else. If I want something I never stop with the first person. I even had a lady offer to price check a couple of things for me as I looked so puzzled in the ziplock isle!

I really do not care for Kmart. Every once in a while I'll stop in one, and I can never find the one item they had advertised that looked interesting. Or, prices are not labeled correctly (on purpose, perhaps?) and if I bring it to checkout, it's much more expensive. I try to avoid Kmart.

I don't shop at Kmart much anymore, I used to work there in high school, lol. I went last Friday b/c they had some Thomas the tank engine stuff on sale and clothes too. I put them on layaway. I don't think there are many stores that offer layaway anymore.

I shop there. However I have found that my grocery store or BJs wholesale is cheaper for a lot of items. However for me it is a matter of taxes. The KMart is in my town so we get the taxes. The WalMart is in the neighboring town...so taxes go there. Plus, our KMart is nice and clean. If it wasn't I wouldn't shop there. I can't stand shopping in a grubby store and paying full price.

I shop at Kmart only because it's 2 minutes from my house. I do think they are dirty but they always have the best deals on Scott toilet paper. heh. I only buy a few things there.

The two KMarts nearest to me are also very dirty. I stopped in one three days ago and was really disappointed in what they had. Their prices are high and their Christmas collection sucks. It's all Martha Stewart matchy-matchy stuff. And none of the prices were anywhere to be seen (the Christmas items) just that they were 25% off. Off of what?

The nearest KMart to me is said to be going out of business/closing in February. My mom and I went into it a couple weeks ago and it was a mess, nothing was organized, had a hard time finding prices. The toy aisle was a mess, nothing was organized, dolls with trucks, etc. I have to so though, that my friend and I have walked out this KMart before with a full cart load, because the customer service was so bad. Huge lines and only 2 checkers, never bothered to call anyone else. So we just left our cart full in a line and left. I wasn't really impressed with them.

Ours is a Big K. I can say it is clean. As far as asking someone else about the Advil, it is now kept behind the pharmacy counter everywhere I go because the did not change their formula, so it has the stuff they use to make met with (i think that is what it is used for), so that is where I had to ask.

Kmart isn't near me, but I do shop there several times per year since they have some items I can't found at Target/Walmart. I'm normally shopping for sale items from weekly ads. Most times I'm happy with the selection & prices. Seems they have hba & snack items at good sale prices, but I'm not close enough to shop there each month. Plus, its less crowded this time of year.
