What is it with exes showing up in dreams?
Ok last night was the last straw...
I'm usually really good at remembering what's in my dreams and there he was, standing in that dream of mine like he had a reason to be there. It was odd because I was hanging laundry up and he was walking around, and we were actually being civil to each other like I missed him. We were also walking around in some other house and I remember some of the furniture being the old stuff from our townhouse.
This is the ex-DH that I had a really rough time with too!
The night before last, it was my first fiancee that I thought was going to kill me and then he ended up being really nice to everyone. In the same dream, a boyfriend of mine that I had while in the Marine Corps (he's a spitting image of Nick Lachey) was there.
Is God trying to punish me or something? How in the world do these guys end up in my dreams after I haven't seen any of them for over seven years?Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

I don't know but it happens to me too. The only ting I can think of is that I am trying to work out in my mind unfinished business or what could have been.

I don't know why either, but let me know if you figure it out! Drives me crazy!

I have heard and read, it was problems that was left unresolved , like never forgiving yourself or the person that hurt you.
If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal. Not to
people or things.

Dreams are soooo weird!! I haven't smoked in 23 years, and don't drink at all, but I constantly have dreams in which I can smoke and not get re-addicted, and I drink really heavily and it's a good thing. Yikes!!

i wouldnt always take the dreams litterally. could just mean that you were thinking about the past and you need to see the past to realise how much you liek your current situation or something like that.

I remember reading that we tend to dream about people or situations that we are uncomfortable with...
So maybe it's the uncomfortable possibility of running into that person. JMHO.

I do this all of the time. I can totally see where we may dream about people or situations that we are uncomfortable with because I definitely don't want to see him. I even dream about his family sometimes. So weird...

Maybe each ex is a symbol for an issue in your life. It might be you trying to work through it or to recognize it as such.

I thought this only happened to me. I wake up so angry. I don't want to dream about my ex's. Sheesh.
