Back again :)
Well, I have been MIA for a while, been busy, but after facing a possible foreclosure on our 3 year old home I am back and ready to tighten up!
We are barely working our way out of foreclosure (we have 1 payment left on our "Special Forbearance Plan" due on 12/30) after that is over the mortgage company is going to take what we are behind and put it at the end of our loan (thank goodness!!, I was really affraid of loosing the house)
We have 1 personal loan in collections and are making monthly payments of $200 on that, which we will be paying off when we get our tax return in 09.
Other than that we really only have our normal month to month bills. I did switch our cell phone plan to a lower cost plan and we have not gone over our minutes allowed (plus DH's job pays $50 per month of that cause he uses his phone for work too)
I have started buying food monthly from Angel Food Ministries (this is awesome, check out there site and see if there is a host site close to you) www.angelfoodministries.com . I also made a spreadsheet which I update with a meter reading every couple days, put in how many days of use we have used and how many remaining, it will tell me the expected use for the month. I also plug in the monthly totals from our bills so I can see exactly how much our utilities are costing us (so I can make cut backs) I have started getting my coupons clipped again so that I can take advantage of really good sales.
These are just a few of the things I have done or am doing. I am looking to do more this year.Grocery Challenge $123.37/200
MTD Saved on Sales $97.59
MTD Saved on coupons $53.71
