    Angry No Hot Water

I got up this morning and discovered that we have NO HOT WATER
I have called a plumber that my friend recommended but I don't know if they will even listen to the message on a Saturday. We may have to pack a bag and go to my parents house, at least to take a shower!

    BTDT...on thanksgving morning no less!!!

My advice? Check the breaker and the pilot light!

You can always bathe the old fashioned way - boil big ole pots of water on the stove and add that in with water in the bathtub.......it works, and it's kind of fun (in a we'll look back on this and laugh sort of way

Oh no...there is nothing...NOTHING worse than a cold shower. Seriously. It is unbearable to me. I'm SO sorry to hear this.

Hopefully you can get it cheaply fixed so you can get back to

I second the bath/heated up water idea. This allows you to at least take a sponge-bath all over, even if you don't have a tub.

Oh no!! I hope that the plumber listens to the message. A lot of plumbers have emergency numbers you can call for weekends and holidays.

Do you have gas heat? Check the pilot light. We had no hot water once and it turned out the gas company replaced our meter during the day while we were at work. They neglected to turn it on! Needless to say they came out and fixed and but they also had to light the pilot light in the water heater. Funny thing is, about 11 that night I heard a car door slam and looked out my bedroom window. They were back and at the house across the street. Apparently they replaced a bunch of gas meters but forgot to turn them on...our whole neighborhood was cold!

Im sorry to hear that you woke up with no hot water. Like everyone else I would suggest you checking the pilot light. I'm glad you have someplace you to be able to take a shower.

That is a horrible thing to wake up to. I hope that you can get it fixed quickly and cheaply.
