Thumbs up Interesting uses for Coke!!

My Mother sent me an Email years ago about all the interesting uses for a can of coke!
I can tell you from experience, as I have a hubby who is a master Mechanic and pouring a can of coke in his wash load of nasty greasy uniforms and clothes it takes the grease out instantly! Better than any other stain remover I have ever used!
I have used it to clean the toilets, you cant leave it in there too long though or it'll screw up the bowl!
Hubby uses it to clean his greasy tools after a job or cleaning parts for the vehicles too!
After having read how Coke will eat the battery acid right off corroded (sp) terminals and it will eat through a nail in 48 hours I came to the conclusion I would not be drinking this!!
I do use it for cleaning and it does work great, so do a search for uses of coke and see what you find!!
    Mommy

fun fact for ya....battery acid has a lower acid content than ANY soda...can you say DECAY!!!

Don't laugh, I clean my burner pans with Coke. I also use Coke for an activator on my compost once a month during the summer. Breaks down that compost! My earthworms love diet Coke.

I once read that if you are in the Middle East and have stomach troubles one of the two things that will help are 7-up or a similar substitute or cola (never light).
I scoffed and asked a dr. about this and to my surprise she replied that it was true.
It's because of the sugar and salt plus water in the drinks.
When you have the runs etc. (sorry for this) you lose a lot of salts and liquid.
The normal treatment for this is ORS which is almost undrinkable. (Oral rehydration system).
Since we have travelled extensively in the Middle East I have had various occasions to use this 'treatment' and it works.
It doesn't stop the 'runs' but it will quieten down an upset stomach and replace the fluids.

You used to be able to buy coke syrup in the drugstore. I recall my Mother giving it to me over ice when I had an upset stomach. They were little bottles that said coke syrup and she kept them in the medicine cabinet.

It's too bad coke does not burn fat right out of the body because if it did, I would be drinking it everyday.

Skinny worms? Do fish like the fact that their dinner on the fish hook has been drinking diet coke?
