Silly entertainment or not?
When ever I get the urge to splurge I fantasy shop. I will visit one of my old favorite stores on line and fill my shopping chart with anything I want. Then I gawk at the bill.
Today I bought a Wii, two very pretty dresses, and a pair of boots. The best thing about fantasy shopping, I get to buy any size I want to.
Today I am a size 4.
I also went to Lowes and bought a new Fridge.
Sure it sounds like all fun and games but in the end it really does serve a purpose. I keeps me from going to a real store. And the prices keep me in check. I haven't been in stores like Macy's or Dillard's in yrs. Sometimes I miss it but when I fantasy shop it reminds me how ridiculous those prices are.
Next stop I am going to get me this http://www.thecarolinacabinstore.com...rce=googlebase
Wish I actually could get that one, it's so pretty and would really add charm to my home.
So I am giving you my American Express, go ahead and buy anything you want , it's on me
Just remember my card is only good in Fantasy land.

OMG!! I do this too!
I thought I was just weird, but now I feel normal if someone else does it!

That's funny. I do it too although not intentionally. I just look at the end price and chicken out...

I couldn't help but giggle when I read your post. I have done something similar, but didn't buy because I either was just having fun or didn't have the time or money to finish.

I do this all the time.
Especially when I am wanting something. I will send a copy of what I have "shopped" for and send it to DH. That way he has an idea of things that interest me. Not that he doesn't already know, but sometimes, there are things that I want, but will not buy for myself, as I can find better things to do with my money, like new towels when we need them, or material to make a slipcover so that I can make the couch last another couple of years. lol

Oh yeah, I window shop online a *lot*. I make wish lists, too, that I hardly ever actually buy from. My amazon wish list is *19* pages long, lol.

When I have a bad case of the "wants", I go one line add it to my wishlist. Usually just seeing the prices makes the "wants" go way.
I also dream that someone will buy it off my wishlist.Julie

I've never done this, but it sounds like a GREAT idea! I think I'll be a size 4 tomorrow. Woo Hoo! I like to look at the clearance clothes online, but most are WAY too small for me.

Guilty. I got up to about $2,400 on my Macy's shopping cart once before just closing the window and moving on.
