What's Going On Today? [Dec 11/08]

Hi Kids

What's on the menu for today? What have y'all got planned to get accomplished? What are you prepping for dinner?

I plan to have breakky - first and most importantly lol, toss in the laundry that I didnt do yesterday, start wrapping some gifts finally, nap and probably something else that has to do with cleaning. I'm starting to get cabin fever being home two days in a row, sick.

I was supposed to take the car in to get it worked on, but hubby didn;t trust me to get it done right (it;s long story!) so I'll be home all day.....laundry, ironing, vacuming, need to wrap som gifts - I might scrapbook while dd is napping.......

After getting all the kiddos off to school I will be cleaning the kitchen,bathroom and my bedroom. Laundry in between.Get DS13 and DS12 @ 1:25 from school. DS13 is getting an award at school at 2:30 so will go to that after he gets out of school. Get DS11 from school at 3:10 Home. At 5 we have football practice til 7:30 then dinner....this is my life..day in and day out

I'm studying ofr my algebra final, which is tonight. Meeting df for lunch and probably going to come home and study more. Oh what an interesting and exciting life I lead! lol

Well today it's here. I had to run to the big town for ornaments for ds's school ornament swap. I also had to print off some pictures he needs for a school project. Picked up allergy meds for the kids and a few things we needed from Walmart.

I haven't felt well for two days so I plan to do a whole lotta nothing the rest of the day! I'm going to play on here a while, then I'm going to crawl into bed and watch tv. I will make something for dinner, but I have no idea what yet. Potato soup sounds good so it might be that!

I am of course working. When I get off I plan to go home and make dinner and then work around the house. I need to do some laundry, clean the living, dining, and kitchen areas. If I have time before I go to bed I will probably cut some coupons that I have backed up.

Sitting here on the computer relaxing for now, then laundry, clean bathrooms (if I feel energetic enough), visit father-in-law in hospital then come home and make homemade pizza for dinner. Then crash! Snowing hard here again so I might have to shovel a bit later too! I am hating winter already.

I've been scrubbing everything down. Our grandson was here Monday and then we were over visiting tuesday and yesterday we had to pick up granson who has strep throat and scrarlett fever. Dh also has been off work because tuesday he found out he has pneumonia. My house has germs. HELP!!! lol
Last dh sweated me out of bed and I slept on the couch, so I changed sheets and lysoled that bed.
I feel bad for him because he never goes to the doctor unless he is really feeling bad and he never misses work.
Today is his choice of what he wants to eat since when you don't feel well you want specific things.

I'm swamped today!I have been wrapping Christmas gifts, and trying to bake for a party on Friday. I made a dash to pick up more wrapping paper and baking goodies.I also had to have the plumber out, as I turned the heat down in the garage(trying to be frugal, but against DH's wishes) and had a pipe in the bathroom out there that froze.Lordy, I hope he gets it fixed before DH comes home and discovers it,or joy bells will not be ringing here.Still need to rush around as I have a friend stopping by around 4- she wants to walk our regular four miles.See you all later, hope you are having a good day!!

We are getting a late start to the day around here.
My DH is an editor of a weekly newspaper and the paper must be turned into the press company by 5:30 a.m. Thursday mornings. Needless to say, that makes Wednesday's a long day. This morning he got home at 4:30. I also go in on Wednesday's and help with getting the paper ready. I did not get home until 1:30 a.m.

So that said, not much is going to get done around here.
I need to finish up this weeks laundry and pick up the living room.
We also may go get our Christmas tree tonight.

The day's almost over and the only things I have left to do are make dinner, fold & put away laundry, and knit.

The kids & I did our gingerbread house today. I got all the dishes done up & cleaned up the downstairs, did lessons, and now the boys are playing out in the snow for a bit while I have some "quiet" time.

Afternoon All!

Thought I would check in here and let everyone I'm ok. Sorry to be missing so much. It's so good to be here at the Village again even if it is just temporary.

My computer at home is "crap" and won't stay logged into FV so I gave up till I get a newer computer, which isn't going to happen soon. Right now I'm at the Library and man these computers are fast!

I did my house cleaning this morning and then ran some errands and thought I'd get some books at the Library while I'm out. Dh is out of town for work this week so I finally have the car during the day!

Well it's almost time for me to crash in bed. I still have some stuff left to do though. I worked today and then mom stopped by and we had coffee while I should have been cooking dinner. DH called to say he'll be way late though so I grabbed me and the boys leftovers. It was kind of an odd mix but oh well. I kept there's seperate but I put mine in a bowl all together ( I felt brave).....

broccoli n cheese quiche on the bottom
corn and green beans
a ladel of really thick potatoe soup

heated, mixed, and bravely taseted.... It was actually really yummy.

Tonight DH and I need get dates together for when we are taking the kids to see his parents, submit the application for middle school for DS#2, (don't even get me started on the stupidity of this and my county's school system), there's clean laundry waitng on my bed for me to fold, and lunches to be made. Other than that I'll probably read, budget, or do Christmassy stuff.
