    Post kvetch - local grocer

ok so there's a tv ad that comes on that really bothers me.

the gist of the ad is stating that with the hard economic times, in order to feed your family/guests for the holidays, shop at this store & buy party trays.

here's my problem... i know that these "party" trays (ie, all meats, all cheese, all veg, or a mix of aforementioned) can cost about 25$ (give or take a few dollars - depending on season, any upcoming holidays, location).

HOW is that more cost effective than buying the stuff & doing it yourself?
I know lots of things in this society are catered to the lazy - ie, those who think they really dont have time to do something.
Honestly, if you wanna do it, you'll make time for it. Nothing about it.

I know there's lots of arguments for and against this tv ad - i just had to share my dislike of it. lol And since i don't mean any ill, I havent said the name of the store. LOL

I know exactly which store you're talking about. I hear this ad on the radio all day at work.
I guess if you are not physically capable of rolling a pound of deli meat into little tubes, this would work for you. Otherwise, it seems like such a rip off.

Convenience has to be the most expensive word in the English language.

I'm sorry but anyone who doesn't have time to cut up some cheese, deli meat and throw some crackers on a tray is not only lazy but has too much money!
