    Default 2.2* DANG that's coooold!!!!!

In nevada even!! Our temp was 2.2 this morning! And seems our pipes are the only ones around for a distnace that have not frozen through these temps!!
Could it be the kid's leaking toilet that kept them from freezing?... or maybe its the fact that we have a heat lamp in our pump house?...or maybe it is because they are insulated!!!
Anyway you slice it, IT IS COLD!!!!

It was about 7 here when I got up, which is cold but not that bad! It was colder this time last year. I remember waking up to -10 on several mornings last year! And at least it isn't windy! DS wanted to walk to school this morning, so I bundled him up and off he went. I think maybe he'll regret it about halfway there!

I was born and raised in ALaska, My Daddy was a trooper there and I grew up stationed in indian villages in the middle of nowhere!!
I remember goin to school on snow mobiles when you could not see where you were going and with the wind it was -30 to 40 below! But I've been here in the states sine 1988 and I am not used to it anymore!!

Glad you didn't have frozen lines! Thats always a nasty one to battle!
Your storm headed our way.......over night we ended up with about 3 new inches of snow, so its much warmer today at 12 with the cloud cover. We still have a winter storm watch out until later today and this storm is headed on to the east. They are advising people to be prepared for it, its a real nasty one. Look at this to see what area you are in and what you need to look for!

Please be careful, it really sounds like this one is ugly!
