Hello from Sunny SoCal
Hello everyone

I live in Sunny Southern California where there is still 18 inches of snow on the ground! but it is Sunny!
I am currently down sizing my farm, from a herd of 80 goats, 60 rabbits, 100 chickens .. the turkeys don't count cause they come and... go <wink>
I love gardening and am addicted to canning. Today I am canning all the Rhubarb I stuck in the freezer. I love to cook and am going to get into cookie cutter cookies. I
I sew and love finding new ways to use my serger. I attend college and love taking the sewing classes offered. this semester I am taking Evening Ware and am hoping to crash the Flat Pattern class.. haven't had flat pattern since 1970. The head of the department and I are old friends.. gonna ask her to put in a good word so the instructor lets me crash! (usually half the class drops out after they see the cost of the materials required but not before the crash dates close)
I retired in 2000 and enjoy every moment of the life I have left! so much to do!
thank you for allowing me to join this group.

A girl in grammer school was from Pennsylvania, why I remember her was she brought some photos of her home in the winter. They had an attic which was pretty impressive since down here attics are crawl spaces. LOL. Anyway there was a door in the attic because the snow was that deep!
A young girl born and raised in Los Angeles, never having seen snow before this made quite an impression. It is hard to believe that snow can get to the attic of a 2 story house!
my hats off to you! I am freaked with 18 inches of snow and snowed in!

SandNOG,
I can't tell you what a contrast it is to visit the south and the east coast. there is so much green and trees and Kudzu! LOL! as compared to my sage brush, creosote bushes, pine trees (though the pine beetle is killing them off by groves each year) and brown!
