    Lol, it's okay to whine.

While I seriously cannot envision winter/holidays without at least a small layer of snow (it has happened but is rare), I can do without the every other day snow and ice crap we have been having...supposedly we could be getting upward to 18 inchesout of the storm that is going on right now and I don't look forward to getting to work tomorrow morning.

I'd so much rather have the weather we're having in Florida right now (they are forecasting 70's for Christmas day) rather than what people up north have to deal with.

I mean, how can you ride the new bike Santa brought you in 8 feet of snow? No thanks! I can send my daughter out back to play in her sandbox and wrap Christmas presents. That's good enough for me.

I'm with you on the weather rant, I'm just up the coast from you outside of Victoria and it was 80 degrees and humid Friday. I finally had to turn my a/c back on just to cool the house down a bit before bed, tonight our heat will be on since it's getting down to 30. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's the back and forth in a drastic manner (read: one day to the next) that seriously gets to me. They aren't lying when they say in South Texas wait five minutes the weather will change. One day you are in shorts, the next you are bundled up like you are going on an North Pole adventure and the wind just cuts right through you.

We are having a blizzard here in the New England right now. As we were driving around today, I got to thinking about when I lived along the Gulf Coast (Texas, Louisiana and Florida Panhandle). I so missed the cold weather of winter. I remember walking outside my ex-in-law's house in New Orleans on Christmas day in shorts -- it was 80+ degrees and very humid. I thought, "this is just wrong." The holidays just don't feel right to me without snow.

Up here in north Texas it's the same - 70's yesterday, 40's today, predicted
20's tonight. But we were in Weslaco ('way south Texas) the year it snowed on Christmas morning!

I know how you feel. I lived in L.A. for a while and to turn on the weather report and see those little smily face sushines day after day - ugh- I don't know what was wrong with me but I would just have the urge to throttle the weatherman! Of course now I live back in a state that has long winters and by the end of Winter I do start daydreaming about desert islands.

Same here in my part of Texas.
One day its 80 next morning its in the 30's.

Oh well at least it usually does not get much colder then that.

I don't think I could live where they have temps in the teens or lower for days and days.
