I am iced in. I have to go to work, or I lose my holiday pay, but I will have to wait awhile until I can get out. Driveway goes down hill, over a bridge & up a hill to the main highway. I started out over an hour ago, so it's been a long morning... DH is going out with the tractor to spread salt...
Yep, we are getting some kind of sleet/snow combo right now also. I have to go to work in about 15 minutes but it is only half a day today and then I get to try and track down DD to see if we will be graced with her presense tonight or if it is just us "old folks" left to our own devices. Then I will probably do a bit of baking and clean up and then make oyster stew and kick back a relax and enjoy my evening.
We are cold, cold. Not doing anything today except relaxing, playing games, spending time on the computer and watching a movie tonight (if there is a good one on tv).

Homesteadmama, just an FYI...the Christmas Eve marathon of A Christmas Story starts at 7pm on TBS and runs for 24 hours! That is what I wait all year for..not the presents, not the excitement...it's the movie!
We are relaxing this morning. One of my boys is playing video games, the other is still asleep. I am persusing the Village with my coffee. I have to clean up the kitchen and make cheesecake today, and probably shovel snow. But other than that, I am kicking back today!

Morning all. Its snowing and we are not going anywhere. I am making a turkey today. I want to get that in the oven about noon. We will have that tonight. Tomorrow dh makes a big breakfast and then if we get hungry later we pick on the turkey leftovers. Have a wonderful Christmas
Just about to throw some breakfast at the family and get busy, by Dad has to work tomorrow and so we are doing dinner and exchanging gifts with them today!! Then tomorrow I'll make a buffet out of the leftovers and do the BIG gifting for just us and the kiddo's!!

Very cold here today...a balmy -2 degrees. I have the whole week off as my parents are visiting for the week.
We're hosting Christmas Eve dinner for my in-laws, so I'm trying to get things made and ready to go. Just finished off the little bit of wrapping I had left. Got the house vacuumed, picked up and am doing a load of clothes.
We have plans on attending Christmas Eve service tonight....it's my favorite
It's going to be a busy day....I love the hustle and bustle of it all.

I am at work. I will be here until 4:15. My dh has the week off so he and my dd's have gone to breakfast, bowling, the mountains to go sledding and they have been to the mall. Not all today but the past couple. DH informed last night that they have worn him out and they will being spending a quiet day at home. I wish I was there!

I got out & then was faced with a road block as someone slid on the ice & ended up waaay across someone's yard against a tree. They had 4 wreckers at the scene, with one winching the pick up back across the yard. I doubt if the ground is frozen enough to drive tow trucks across... Anyway, went to work, am back home & will be going to church in a couple hours. No family gatherings, DH & I are on our own for the next 4 days.
