    Default What did you get?

What did you get for Christmas? I got a 4 door pantry/cabinet and we still have to make a trip to Amish country to buy my oak drying rack, and then take a trip over to Homer Laughlin and get the other 4 sets of my Fiestaware.

I received a sewing machine, my favorite bath and bodyworks stuff, and two movies that I had been wanting. Horton Hears a Who and Mama Mia.

My mother gave me cash, which is her "traditional" gift every year, so no surprises there! Also a very nice coat that she got on sale for $18, along with a twenty-minute story of how cheap it was (and yet, it is reversible!)! My sister gave me two very pretty pillar candles: the kind that have a little LED light and can be programmed to turn themselves on at a certain time every day. She also gave me two boxes of See's candy.

DH and I got a $100 check from my parents. BUT we have to use it for past due bills because he isn't qualifying for unemployment this year. We are past due on the phone and cell phone so it's going to them. He is getting $25 for his bday (28th) and that's going to past due bills too.

Dh and Wesley got me a 'Where the Wild Things Are' T-Shirt, a sleep mask, XOXO sunglasses, NineWest purse, Terminator SCC Season 1 dvd, ChronoTrigger for my nintendo ds. Apparently, a few more items are on the way for me.

We did Christmas with my family at the beginning of December and I got pyrex and corning ware, some geisha girl stuff, scrapbook stuff, jammy pants, jewelry and some stuff.

We did Christmas with Zac's mom and stepdad last week. I got a handmade piece of artwork featuring Wesley's picture, jammies, a 50$ visa giftcard, arbonne mandarian cashmere stuff, scrapbook, and some other stuff.

We're doing Christmas with Zac's dad and stepmom on Sunday.

The absolute best gift that I had today was spending the day with my husband and son.

I got 2 bars of soap, 2 pairs of pj's that are a size too small, and 2 packs of undies that are 2 sizes too big.
    All from my mom.
Apparently she must think that since moving to Florida, I have become dirty, lost some weight, or gained a bunch!!

    Thanks mommy!! LOL

Today was a gift. Just the two of us enjoying homecooked gourmet meals, reading Christmas scripture, playing games, watching a couple of movies......... I enjoyed every minute of this day!

And in addition, Hubby gave me:
    1. Two certificates for massage
    2. Scrapbooking supplies
    3. A book
    4. A promise to go shopping with me to buy a Kitchen Aid mixer! He's scared to pick it out himself.

    Wonderful gifts!

Tomorrow we will be with family, so gift giving starts again! Can't wait to see them!

My DH and I were given a new digital camera this year by his parents. Ours died back in September and have not been able to replace it. His dad is really into photography so it is a nice one. I'm going to have to do some studying to figure it out.

My mother gave me an MP3 player that I had been eyeing. I am really looking forward to being able to download free audio books and podcasts to listen to while I do housework.

My oldest dd bought me the book Twilight. She took her own money this year and talked her aunt into taking her Christmas shopping for her dad, sisters & brother and myself. She was so excited about being able to give presents from herself.

DH and I didn't exchange any gifts, money is too tight this year. The best gift was watching the kids have fun with what they got. We saved up since May and were able to buy them a Wii!! Everything else was little, but right on with them. We've had a wonderful Christmas Day!!
