    Thumbs up Holy Legos Batman!!

Not only did the boys (10 & 7) get a butt-load of Legos for Christmas (2 large sets and 2 small sets each) and not only did they use their Christmas money from Grandma to buy MORE Lego sets (2 medium sets & 3 small sets between the two of them) but then we get to the in-laws and SIL has just finished cleaning out my 14yo nephew's bedroom. They sent us home with two HUGE foam coolers (the kind you get from Omaha Steak?)FULL of Legos. The boys are in heaven and my living room looks like Lego Land threw up

Plus, she sent us home with 4 boxes of books that dn has outgrown. She works at Barnes & Noble so it's A LOT of books! The complete Magic Treehouse set, complete Bailey School Kids books, DS10's most excited about Mr Popper's Penguins and DS7's excited about the Lego "level" readers lol.

It was like Christmas part 2

Those little tiny lego pieces were hell on the poor vacuum!!

You've just got one of the best educational toys around. When our kids were younger it was amazing to see what they built. They were always wanting Legos for Christmas.

What a nice addition to your home library too.

That's so cool! Please tell me if you have any ideas for organizing them! My ds-6 got some Lego sets for his birthday (Indiana Jones, etc.) and now they are mixed in with all the rest so he can't find what goes together to build the original set. I had planned on buying those clear storage boxes the size of shoes boxes to keep the sets separate, but he mixed them up already!

My boys had a couple big rubbermaid storage containers of legos. They loved them. We would all end up on the floor creating lego villages! Have fun!!

Awesome, leggos are a lot of fun, they can build some pretty neat things with them. Enjoy both the leggos and the books.

    Smile Sounds like MY Christmas...

My son got a 500 piece Indiana Jones set (completed that on Christmas day) and a 1000 piece Star Wars set (completed that the day AFTER Christmas. I ALSO, was looking for a way to sort as he has thousands of them and they ALSO got mixed up with the regular toys so I spent 2 days after Christmas sorting them (I save the plastic cat litter tubs with the handles on them and sorted them by "blocks" "other" and "accessories, animals and people". I found a REAL neat way of sorting them on the attached website below (BOY there are some diehard Lego people, but some VERY good ideas I think I will work on next year). Take care and God bless.

    Score!

Lauren is obsessed with Lego and has a huge tote full. She got several sets/accessories for Christmas and just can't get enough. When she's not interested in them any more I am going to encourage her to keep them for her kids. They just never seem to lose popularity, no matter how many years go by.
