Starting Over...
Hello Everyone.
My name is Amanda, and I am new here. I live in Colorado Springs, and I am about to start a new journey. I am starting over, starting from scratch. In the middle of January I am getting my own apartment and in February I am starting a one month class to become a CNA.
Im utterly terrified...but I know I can do it. With the help of this forum, I think I'll be okay.

New beginnings are exciting. You'll find the villagers here are generous with advice, eager to share their experience, great to celebrate successes with, good shoulders to cry on. One stop shopping as it were. Welcome!

how exciting-both the apartment and school. i'm sure you will do great in class. i used to be a unit secretary in a ccu unit and learned and saw more things there than i would have ever expected. be prepared to work hard wherever you get hired. not all nurses and doctors are created equal --- find your nurses who know what they are doing and esp the one's who have a nurses' heart (their patients aren't just room numbers) and watch them. those are the people you will learn so much from. education-wise and better yet how to make things easier on yourself (tricks of the trade to get a good job done)
good luck! good luck!

Hello, and
from Oregon! How exciting that you are starting a new chapter in your life. I know Frugal Village really helped me get my life in financial order at a time when I was transitioning, too. Good Luck!

:woohoo1:The world is your oyster.
Being a CNA takes a very caring person and the rest will come. You will be better than alright. The feeling you will have by doing good things at work and living on your own will be a tiny bit scary & whole lot of omg I'm doing it! If you start feeling like you are kinda lonely when you have time off, get involved in the community. One of my favorite times in my life is when I was working as a CNA, just left my first husband & got my first apartment alone. It felt so good to know I could stand on my own. You CAN do this!!!
Want to talk, just pm me
