Ipod Shuffle user's.......

Four of us got ipod shuffles this Christmas, thank goodness there are so many colors out there, lol. I am in charge of getting them going but I'm probably the most computer challenged of the group, lol. I downloaded the Itunes but I never get any notice that the ipod is being reconized? It's the same for all four and I have downloaded the itunes more than once. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you.

Also, with a shuffle, do you know that they have these headphones (wireless) that you of course wear and just put the shuffle into a connection over your ear piece and just listen to your songs, so there are no more wires hanging down which is wonderful when working in the garden etc, they are a little expensive, but I think worth the price because it help me since I'm outside quite a bit.

Hmm, download itunes, plug ipod in to computer to charge,it should ask you to name it. Are they charged?

I would try to hook up the ipod when itunes is not open... just to make sure it's connecting correctly. You should get a notice that you've plugged in a usb device.

When itunes is open and your ipod connected, you should have the device listed on the left side of the screen. (I think. I may be thinking of rhapsody.)

I got an ipod shuffle (pink) from my DH this year! I wasn't able to get Itunes to even recognize that there was anything in the USB drive, or whatever it is called. So, I went around Itunes altogether. I downloaded the WinAmp player and then when I plugged my shuffle in, under portables on the WinAmp player it said Ipod so I clicked on it and renamed it what I wanted, which was my name! It is working wonderfully! Hope this helps you some if you haven't already gotten your shuffles to work!!!

It should flash yellow/green while it charges. I have an apple computer so I'm not sure what all the settings, etc will say on a pc. Call apple to walk you through. They have very good service.

WOW I just got my very first one, hooked it up and downloaded some stuff from the Itune store. no problem but I think I really like this silly little thing. Will be great when traveling and using the treadmills in the hotels or on the airplanes. Nice little gadget that will take little to no room in my purse or laptop case. But I can see my buying lots of songs. I love music almost as much as I love books!
