Newbie Here in VA
Hi. My goal here is to learn as much as I can to begin to live a more simplistic life! We have 4 children with two of them graduating this past year. We have a soph. and an 8 year old so we can see that before long our lives will be ours again.
We haven't been able to save anything for retirement and have a hefty mortgage. But before we can even begin to deal with that we'll have to pay off credit cards, vehicles and student loans. I feel like I'm so far behind but I know that I have to start some where...so here I am.

Hi and welcome to Frugal Village from cold, cold Canada. Frugal Village is definately a great place to get many ideas and tips on how to live a more frugal lifestyle. Since becoming frugal, I've found that frugal living is a choice and a lifestyle. It doesn't come very naturally to me, and I think it's partly because we live in a "buy, buy, buy" society. An awesome book that I borrowed from my library is "Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsay...it's a great place to start reading (other than this forum, of course!). I'm glad you've joined and look forward to getting to know you better!
An obstacle is what comes up when you lose sight of your goal.
