Today is not my day...

I think I'll be staying away from appliances and large machines for the rest of the day!

I was working on a craft project this morning, and I was spray painting. Normally, I do this outside, but it's too cold. So, I did it inside and somehow, I oversprayed onto my washing machine! ICK! So, luckily (before DH saw) I pulled out nail polish remover and some cotton balls and was able to get the overspray off!

Then, I was heatng up some chocolate in the microwave to finish my New Year's cheesecake. Luckily, I was standing right there, because the microwave started to spark and smoke! YIKES! I thought perhaps I had left a spoon or something in there. I opened it up and no, no metal in there, so I had to search around. I found a spot where the doors connects with the microwave, where the paint had rubbed off to expose the actual metal of the microwave! So the microwave itself actually caused the sparks!

So, I'll have to head out and see if I can find a new microwave on sale...at least I didn't permenantly ruin the washer! It's just not my day today...definately staying away from all the other appliances and NOT driving a car today!

We have to purchase a new microwave too. They don't last like they used to...irritates me.

If it makes you feel better, I hit a parked semi yesterday.

Hubby spent the rest of the day reading to me from the Iowa Motor Vehicle Law Handbook.

I'm there with you, I swear Murphy is here and I must have done something to piss him off bad too!!
I got my Wii Fit workout done this morning but this all started last night, I am ready to blow like a freaking bomb and it seems everything is working against me!!
The last thing I tried was to make myself a nice big breakfast after my workout and the freakin propane ran out on me, so I had sunny side up eggs AAAAACK!!!
So, I'm DONE for the day!!!

Momto2Boyz, Maybe there is some kind of "field" around you today that just isn't mixing with electrical/mechanical things! =P I think it's a good idea to relax for the rest of the day!

Maybe there is! Does anyone know how to ward off that kind of thing! So far, luckily, the rest of my day has been ok...but I've been staying away from anything mechanical...well, except for the 'puter! Can't stay away from that for too long!

I guess 'Murphy's' getting all of his end of the year visiting done. Our microwave died a week or so ago. I missed it but thankfully my Daddy rescued me and got us a new one.

I hope Murphy's left your house!
