Here Goes Nothing.
Thank god I found this site, it's exactly what I needed.
Here's a little about myself. I'm a 19 year old female from Canada, I'll be 20 in February though. At the moment I live with my best friend and her family, and currently don't pay rent. And no job at the moment, I start my new job on the 5th though.
I have about $1800 in debt that I need to get rid of. I basically need to save money for my own place and to pay off the debt, and I plan to do this solely on my own.
So really I'm hoping this place will help me achieve my goals and if it doesn't I hope I at least learn something.
Ps I suck at these things haha.

Hi and welcome to the village from another Canadian. Starting at a young age to be frugal and get rid of debt is the best time to start. You'll learn skills you'll have for the rest of your life. I hope it all works out for you.

Howdy from WVa! Theres lots here to read ( I'm still trying to read it all LOL) You can do what you plan to do. Just start out slow and easy. Each pay, have it all designated to where it needs to go. Rent and that debt. You can do it!

There are a few of us in the 18-25 bracket, and I can't stress enough that 19 is probably the best age to become wise in financial matters and living within your means. I sure wish I had found this site when I was 19.
Read, read, and read everything on here. Don't be afraid to ask questions, people will be blunt and upfront with you but at the same time there is plenty of sympathy, comfort, laughter and friendship.
