I'm soooo glad to be home!!!!
We got home about 3 hours ago.
In the last 15 days, my family and I have traveled 4,651 miles, driven through 13 states....YES 13 STATES!!!! and spent time with family in both CA and WA. Our time with our family was great - there were no big issues with my inlaws, so that was a major answer to prayer. We were able see my hubby grandparents while in CA, and we got a call on the way home that his grandfather had passed away (we had seen him 8 days earlier). He was a precious old man that was 7 days away from his 100th birthday. The hand I held less than two weeks ago has been held by Jesus, as he is now in Heaven. We wept with tears of joy!! My hubby will be flying back for the memorial service in a few days.......
I am sooooo glad to be home. My home is a mess. I have unpacked about half the stuff, no milk in the house, no bread....I think I'm making pancakes from mix with water for breakfast, we are playing hookey from church tomorrow to try and recover before school starts on monday.

Glad to see you and your family made it home safe, Traci. I'm sorry about your loss, though. That's a terrible thing but it's good to know he's with Him now and can watch over your family no matter where you are.

That was a lot of driving! Wow! That is fantastic that you got to see DH's GF before he passed away. I guess your trip was meant to be!
