    Default Please say a prayer today and think positive thoughts...

    Today my younger sister (35 years old) will be undergoing colon/liver cancer surgery.. The colon will be done lapriscopically, and should not take too long. The doctors are positive they can get all of that in one surgery.. The liver on the other hand is such a fragile organ, they always worry about bleeding, liver failure and such. They will be removing about 8 inches of her colon, and just over half of her liver, with a few small spots on her healthy side taken out too. She will be going into surgery at about noon PST... Please say a prayer for her, her surgeons and her DH and kids.. They are all (including the doctors),very optimistic that she will have a full recovery. They never once gave her a prognosis, and when she was asked to confirm she had terminal cancer, she said she had never been told that, and there had not be any mention of it on her health insurance, because no doctor had EVER used that term. I think they got the message to ask the doctor from now on.... She is a fighter, and I know she will make it, it just doesn't hurt to have that extra prayer here and there... So the hospital is where I will be spending the majority of my day. TIA....

    2012 Goals
    Use the vegetables from my garden and learn to preserve.
    Cut down on all unnecessary things.
    Free is best.
    Get the garage completely cleaned out. Half done-Until BIL and SIL stored their stuff--now back to square 1.
    Make the yards nice-weed, mow, plant, flowerbeds,etc.
    Stay home more/eat out less if at all.
    FIND A NEW JOB!!!
