Default Please think about my friend!

Yesterday afternoon, my friend's son came home from school and opened the door to his house and out came thick black smoke, the house was on fire!!! They have lost pretty much everything, including their dog and ferret! Lucky for the family there has been such a great help from the community, they have clothes for the two kids and are working on some for themselves. The local hotel here in town has offered them a free weeks stay (the insurance is paying for the rest), so they have some place warm to stay.

The fire department is saying it looks like a furance fire, something that was probably started in the morning and burned most of the day, outside of the house is pretty much okay, but the inside is burned and has awful smoke damage!

To top it all off, it was only 9 degrees out yesterday, snow and ice all over the ground, then last night it started snowing again!!

I just was wondering if everyone could send them some good vibes, prayers, and thoughts, not only for the now, but the months ahead!!

Oh My! I'll say a prayer for sure. I do understand how that can happen. Our furnace caught fire also, the difference was I was home. It was around 6:50 am and my oldest son had already left for school. I heard an alarm going off down stairs and opened the basement door to a thick black cloud of smoke. I'm so sorry for your friend and her family. It hard enough to lose your home and all your belongings, but their pets too. How sad.

Oh they are in my prayers. I had a apartment fire 1 month after my divorce 10 years ago, and i can say it was 1 of the most emotional time in my life. A candle was left burning, i went to work and my daughter was 15 at the time and she was at a friends. The fire was contained to 1 room but the smoke damage was every where.
