Default What are you going to spend your tax return on?

We are planning on paying off our surprise car purchase (or as much of it as we can) so that we can hopefully remove that debt from looming over us. We currently owe $9100. Our refund should knock that down to roughly $4500 - we'd be more than half-way done!

What are you planning on doing with your funds?

1/2 is going to pay off a CC and the other 1/2 is going to buy a freezer so that I can grow my stockpile more.

What tax return? We usually have pay between $6K - $8K. This year will probably be worse since DH worked as a consultant for 1/2 the year. I hate income tax season!

IF we get any back, I am thinking that we'll apply it to our car loan.

Well, this year we have allotted our tax refund money to go towards putting in our yard. FINALLY...

Our poor neighbors have looked at our weed-infested yard for the past 3 years! Yikes, here come the sprinklers and sod! Woo-hoo!

It's going straight in the "Emergency Fund". There is word of lay-offs going around my job. They laid off 22 people last Friday and may have a second wave come March/April (although Management is denying it, but you know how that goes). The 2 Cards we owe small amounts on are for now getting shaved down to Minimum Payments Only and spending is at a complete HALT till these storm clouds pass. So it's time to batten down the hatches!!

Otherwise we'd be getting a Wood Pellet Stove to help cut down on our heating bills - Oh well, Thanks Recession!

If I get lucky I might get back $200 or so, but might end up paying that amount as well.

I am not counting on anything at this time. Previous years refund was about $700, that went to pay down debt, but that debt is all gone now.

If I get anything, it will go to savings, trying to finish up a 6 month EF, and am at about 60% full at this time.

    Paying off debt.

Every spare cent we get goes towards paying off debt.
