I second this. I live in Iowa and it's bitterly cold here. I have to go outside because I am currently at work, but once I get home i'm staying there.

They are predicting a high of 11 degrees with a windchill of -16 here on Thursday. I feel for anyone who is homeless in this kind of weather. Take care of those furbabies.

It's bitterly cold here too and the windchill makes it even colder. Please stay safe, if you don't have to go anywhere don't. Also if you have pets, keep them safe too.

Joy, they don't cancel school stuff where your at? Here they do. When it gets like this and the girls have something. I wont let them go. My oldest is mad because she had practice for scholastic after school. I said come straight home. Im not getting out at 6 tonight and you can't even see the car in front of you. Not worth it to me. She will get over it.

I feel for you all having to deal with that weather. I think the only time they cancel school here is when it's like -40C. I get to walk out in it when it's -30C and below and that's two blocks.
Be safe, be warm and try to enjoy the pretty snow.

ya know, they used to sell heated dip sticks. they were long rods that you put in your oil and then plugged in. they kept the oil from freezing so the car would start. we used to have one and it worked really good.
