Hello from Kansas!
How did you hear about frugal village?
I was looking for copycat Rice-a-roni recipes and it led me to a
thread on the forum.
What interests you here?
Frugal is my middle name... according to my co-workers! Also
the subject matter of the forums.
What will you contribute?
Hopefully something coherent.
Do you know any other members here?
Not yet.
How many kids? Ages?
None.
Tell us about yourself.
I'm 53 and am living in the best years of my life.
Got a new job in 2002 and re-evaluated many aspects of what I
do truly value, want to do with my time and hobbies.
Do you own any pets?
Not since 1998 when my cat, Kitty, passed away. If I did get a pet
it would probably be a cat.
Occupation?
Retail management.
Married or single?
Single... divorced 26 years ago.
Interests and hobbies?
Music (most kinds, listen to mainly mainstream jazz when I am alone) and I have a small (though most people would say its large) collection of vintage electronics, circa 1973- 1979. Photography... mainly outdoors... landscapes, weather, early morning, late evening and birds...lots of birds. Cooking... here's where some frugality comes in... since 2002 I have cooked 99% of all my meals basically from scratch. No stopping on the way home with drive-thru or pre made stuff from the grocery store. I've also take 99% of my lunches to work since then and haven't eaten out alone since then... though I do with family and friends.
