Productively Frugal Storm Day!
So today we had a storm day....no school and roads so icey no work for me. I decided since it was kinda like a *free* day to get things done I would try and be productive. So far I have.....
Washed 2 loads of laundry and hung on racks... so no dryer
Kept the wood fire going and heat turned down to 50
Packed up some more Christmas stuff
Washed Dishes
Put Folded laundry away
Listed 4 items to sell on Kijiji
Got my son to clean his room!
Cleaned 2 bathrooms
Stripped my bed to be washed
Left to do as planned.... bake A banana loaf and another loaf(kind undecided yet)
Set up work appts for remainder of month
So I have had a very productive frugal,no spend, baking kinda day! Im Happy!
How do you all spend you storm days??

What is this phenomenom you speak of?? Child cleaning his room? Wow if I got nothing else done all day that alone would make me feel like I had slayed the dragon! My 9 yo son and I go rounds about his room especially now that the house is listed and absolute strangers are walking around our house daily, and let's just say his idea of clean and mine just do not jive! Sounds like you are having a great day!

My son is 17....his idea of clean and mine..VERY different!! But today all his laundry got hung up and the dishes went to the dishwasher and he even picked up all the trash laying around! I have now completed the banana loaf and another load of laundry. Hmmmm..... wonder what I will make for dinner????

We are spending the day doing our homeschooling and then outside to enjoy our sunshine. Hubby works very late tonight, so it's just me and the kids doing our thing.

Ok Sis, you can come to my house next!
Wendell isn't doing anything. I came home and he was sitting in the recliner with the dog on his lap!

Snow days here are my days for extra cleaning!! DD is home from school so she helps with the cleaning and also helps watch ds and dd when I am upstairs or downstairs!! I always plan to get so much done, but I think my problem is that I try to get too much done!!!
I am still planning on getting a lot done today, even though there is school!! I have a big weekend to pack for, and as many of us know, that means laundry and planning!!

Snow day here

I've spent too much time online, lol.
I've also washed a load or two of laundry and installed a new toilet seat. Next on my list is chicken in the crock pot and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen.
I also have to take my christmas tree down. I absolutely hate doing it and always put it off.

Snow here this morning, so I guess I am not going grocery shopping as planned. We won't *need* food for a few days, I just wanted to beat the Saturday rush. I guess it's going to be a laundry day, instead.
