My kid wants a blog...

My 11 yo wants a blog. Any suggestions for kids who want a blog? She's an avid writer and is now wanting "more".

I did not post this in the family thread because not everyone looks at that thread.

Blogger has free blogs through Google. I say let her go for it as long as you have her password and she understands you may read it. I wouldn't have a problem with my son having one. You can also set it us so that only invited "guests" may read it

My son has a blog through blogger and he really likes it... sometimes (he's not always great about updating it) Just go to www.blogger.com/start and it will guide you through the setup.

visit my son's blog while your at it and you can leave a comment that links back to your daughters blog so we can visit hers... its a fun way to get more people looking at the blog which my son always gets a kick out of.

I recommend livejournal.com because you can mark entries as private (so that she can use it more like a diary) or let friends see them (so that you could make an LJ account and view her entries) or make them public for the world to see.

It's very easy to use and that's always a plus, too!
