How often do you check your e-mails in a day?
I check mine first thing in the morning and if I remember just before I shut down the computer at night.

I check them usually once a day for sure. Sometimes when I'm bored at work I'll check several times during the evening, especially if I'm waiting for someone to reply or expecting one. However, if I'm not expecting anything and I'm busy, I may not turn the computer on at all on my days off.
Unlike many of my co-workers I do not check work e-mail at home. When I'm off, I'm off.Donna

MAYBE twice a week on a good week. E-mail is definitely not the most effective way to reach me!

several times a day.

I haven't really counted, but probably 5 times a day. My students contact me via email with questions about assignments, so I check every three hours or so. I also stay in contact with many family members and far flung friends via email.

I constantly check my emails, this is normally the best way to contact me, esp since I check them on my phone as well.

My life is mostly freelance work, so I check the email every few hours. I never know when a website client will need something tweaked, or someone will have a business question, or I will hear back on whatever writing or artwork I've sent out. I also have a lot of resumes out there, and a lot of bids on various projects and eBay stuff. It's tough waiting for answers ...

It's open all the time in it's own tab and highlights if something has come in. It's not like I'm doing much to check it. So, anytime I'm on the computer, I can see if I have new mail.

my computer goes to my Yahoo! page when I start it up so I check it when I first log on. My Yahoo! messenger program alerts me to an email, and if I catch the alert ( look at it), I can see who it's from, so I check my email when it comes in. That way it's taken care of and out of the way.
