so, hubby wakes me saying "there is a virus or something screwing my laptop up"!!!
Then, I had to run a full scan on my big computer (no one is allowed to touch my computer and because of that rule, nothing goes wrong with the big computer!!!) Then I got onto the dish network to pay our bill and everytime I try to connect the reciever it gives me a damned error code, Hubby made a good point that it might be covered in ice and snow so I'll wait till later to do that too I spose while I take his laptop apart and clean it....as I am typing I am having to to retype everything as all the keys are missing $HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My big computer is finished scanning, and of course NO problems on the big computer!!
So, I am downloading something on the laptop and it has taken forever to get 50% done, so, there is definitely something in it I'll have to fix!!
I am going to build a steel lock box for that thing and lock it up!!! Finally got to make the payment to the dumb TV but now I still have to finish the crap with the laptop and then take it apart to clean it because this morning hubby tells me "oh, the keyboard has been screwing up like that ever since I used it out in the garage" OMG, are you insane, you use it outside, IN A DESERT?? Have you ever heard of a little thing called SAND??????!!!!!!
Today is one of those days where a smart person would just go back to bed!!!
(notice I am still awake?!!!)

There is a worm out there that Microsux is trying to get out a patch for.
Once you get it fixed try using Firefox as your browser.

I let my virus protection lapse once and of coarse eventually got something on my computer. Advertisements on regular sites started becoming pornographic so I knew I was doomed.

The nice geek at the office store recommended "Kaspersky" as my internet security. It cleaned and eliminated everything on my computer and has been great. I just renewed and downloaded the 2009 version last week.

After I first installed it though, Internet explorer kept dumping me so I went back to the store and they said to use "Firefox" as my browser. I've been really really happy with it.

The anti virus is not normally a problem, his just needed updated because when it popped up for him to update he kept clicking, "later" and did not do it!!!
I have tried firefix several times and had nothing but problems with it, I stick to IE on all the computers as it has never given me a problem!

The main problem is people not wanting to take the time to let the software update itself and then causing me to spend 4-6 hours fixing the problems those choices caused to begin with!!
