Dh and I play this game. We would
1) Pay off our house
2) Pay off his sister's homes
3) Invest the money for kids education and our retirement.
4) Do some updates to this house.
Are we boring or what?

1. Pay off our house
2. Purchase 2 new cars & sell the one we own (or maybe give it away to someone who needs one)
3. Start my own business with some of it.
4. The rest would go into CD's, and we would live off the interest while getting our business started!

1. Pay off all debts
2. buy land
3. build dream home
4. bank remainder, if anything left
5. keep jobs, because there probably wouldn't be enough left to retire.

I would give my uncle a hug, smooch, and big fat check. Then I would
buy some land and build a modest sized log cabin that is self sustainable.
We only have about $10,000 in debt ( mostly medical) I would pay that off.
Since I do not have a car right now and the hubs uses a company vehicle maybe we should buy a car.
Then make sure my children have their education paid for and trust funds for the future.
The rest would go to be invested for our future.

DH and I have also discussed our "plans" lol
1. pay off all debt including mortgage ($30K)
2. buy land/house at the lake ($250K - and that's getting fancy lol)
3. buy ourselves new vehicles (reasonably priced) and our new RV ($150K)
4. buy animals/equipment/plants (goats, cattle, pigs, chickens, small tractor, fruit trees, etc) for getting ourselves more sustainable ($100K)
5. put half of what's left into trust for the children ($235K)
6. save/invest the rest
DH would continue to do small side jobs (mechanical, construction, driving, etc) because he likes to stay busy, but he would get to pick and choose. Realistically, he could make enough part time to support us (we would be debt/mortgage free) and I would spend my time taking care of the animals and plants and processing them for our food needs. HAHA, can you tell we've been over this in detail??? lolStarlight

1) Tithe! Before a single penny is spent. First fruits go to God.
2) pay off all debt
3) Meet with our accountant to decide how to invest for our future
4) Get a safe and sock away a good bit in our home
5) provide an education for our boys
6) fix our home, french drain, new bathroom, new kitchen, refinish floors, add a bathroom (all his own!!!!) for our youngest, finish basement, paint house and add shutters, repave driveway. And if at all possible I'd like to add a big laundry room, a mud room and a home office to our home.
7) I'd love to have help cleaning our home a few times a week, that would help me tremendously.
