    Default Snow Day Musings

Yeah!!! It's a snow day! I'm so excited to have the day off to spend with the kids, and work has been a bit hectic lately as well, so I'm psyched.

I do have a musing about a snow day, though:

How does Matthew instinctively know when we're allowed to sleep in? During the week, I need to blast him out of his crib at 6:45. Today, he was up at 5 am. Same thing on the weekends. Too funny.

If anyone else has a snow day today, be safe and enjoy!!!

Yay for snow days and I'm glad we're not having one. Laugh. I enjoy it when my teenager is at school. And it's been cold here, right now -1. I'm so ready for winter to be over.

    Enjoy your snow day!

LOL that always used to happen here too. And when the kids *do* sleep in, which isn't often, I can't sleep for some reason.

Snow day here too. I have mixed feelings. I liked that I didn't have to get them out the door in the usual morning frenzy, but if they start arguing I'll be wishing they were in school. :laughinghard:

Well it is snowing here in Michigan, we don't have enough to have a snow day only about 4" expected today. I have however, already shoveled the driveway this morning. Mini workout lol
Kids can be so unpredictable. Too funny!

I'm glad you have the day off Amy. I always enjoyed snow days with my kids.

I was a SAHM, so I was the cocoa and cookie lady after snowball forts-and-fights. I sometimes had 8-10 boys in here at once, but I loved it! They'd play Nintendo while I dried their snowclothes. Then back out to get all snowy-wet again.

But the mornings were quiet with just my boys and me. Good memories......

Snow Day here too. I already had the day off so no loss in the paycheck. My kiddos are sleeping in, but I was wide awake at 6am. A great day to keep the woodstove full of wood and the mugs filled with hot chocolate. The kiddos plan on snowboarding later.

Snow day here for Hubby. He usually is up really really early, so I thought he might sleep later today. Nope........

We're having a snow day here today, too.

Yesterday we went to school, and there was ice everywhere and the power went out. We had to keep the students there till 2pm for it to count as a full day. We ate lunch in the dark, had "recess" in the classroom with board games, I read to them. I taught them some games that I played as a kid (big family, more kids than $$)! Some of them didn't want to go home when it was time. It was "neat" to be at school in the dark!

My teenagers were jealous. Their teachers carried on class in the dark!

I guess the superintendent decided to cancel school today to play it safe!
