2009 Ice Storm...post your pics!?!?!?

Here are some pics from around my house. The ice and snow wasn't as bad as the downed trees and power lines.

For something so destructive, the ice sure is pretty on the trees like that.

I can't even imagine cold like that! It sure is beautiful though!

The lowest it gets around here is in the 30's.

Looks like here last year. Some people were without power for more than a week. Sorry you have to go through it.

sorry the pics aren't clearer. we've been having bad weather here in wv too.
the first picture is tuesday morning - packed snow. it was slow going to work and the snow was just piled everywhere - the road crews couldn't salt because it was still snowing. that brown strip was slush that had iced over, so i stayed more on the snow.
the second is thursday morning- ice hanging off the trees. the rain had packed down all the snow and it was a crunchy, slippery world out there. taking out my trash, walking on my sidewalk there was a top layer of ice and once you broke that there was probably 4 inches of water.i was going slow that day because of black ice. tues nite was rain and sleet, nothing but icy roads.
the third is wednesday after work coming across the bridge. they made us wait an hour not letting either side go because the bridge was a sheet of ice. finally after the salt trucks went across a couple of times they let traffic go.
i wish i could have got a pic of the tree next door every branch was completely covered with ice...it was really pretty.
my town was without electric wednesday afternoon until 4pm today(thursday). i slept on the floor in the basement by the gas heater last nite. it was so good to come home to a warm house this evening-not taking the electric for granted tonite!! i feel fortunate the electric was only off for the one nite and praying it doesn't go back off.....they are predicting the possibility of another storm coming monday or tuesday-so i'm worried. i hope it doesn't come --- summer can't get here soon enough for me.
