    Default Bissell Pet Hair Eraser

This vacuum is a little over a year old and will not suck up the dirt anymore. The brush stops rolling when it hits any resistance. I changed the belt becuase I thought the one I had stretched. The new belt was much smaller and it worked for one area rug up till the end and then started again.

My 15 year old Hoover was going strong until hubby sucked up something that got caught in the motor.

In the back of my mind I was thinking about getting a Dyson, but now I am thinking I need to get a good old Hoover and send the Bissell in for repairs.

    Any suggestions?

I have a Dyson that's about 5 years old and still sucking strong. It's a worthwhile investment IMO. I gave one to my MIL for Christmas a few years back and she loves it, too. We're both 3 cat households, so we need good vacuum cleaners.
