Earthquake!!!
Okay, it was only a 3.5 and we thought it was thunder, but we don't live in a natural disaster area (on purpose) and so imagine our surprise when the earth shook the house last night! Dh said, "It's thunder...go back to sleep." So, I did, but he was online and it turns out we had a little earthquake. Everyone is fine, both in my house and around the area.
I'm hoping it doesn't become habit!

Isn't that crazy? We live in Illinois, where we almost never get earthquakes (knock on wood), and we had one a few years ago.
DH and I probably would have missed it entirely except we were re-siding our house and we had a huge metal dumpster in the driveway. We woke up hearing the dumpster making weird noises as it shook! We got up looked around out the front windows and couldn't figure out what the noise was.
We went back to bed, having no idea what it was until the next morning, when we popped on the news and saw there had been a minor earthquake and we figured it out! Luckily, we didn't feel it. My parents were closer to the epicenter (they were within 10 miles) and it rolled them right out of bed and onto the floor!
Glad to hear you guys are ok! Hopefully, you don't get another one for a very, very long time!

Hey...nice pic.

As for the earthquake. I hate when stuff out of the ordinary happens like that.
It is funny, when we lived in Orlando, I totally forgot that the shuttle was landing one day. I think it went right over top of us. I thought something HIT the house. It was that loud. Later when I told my Dh about it, he reminded me that the shuttle had landed. LOL
