Default We finally have electric and internet!

We were without power for 4 1/2 days. We were also without cable/internet for the last 8 days...I think I missed the internet more than the power lol.
My kids have been out of school since last Monday, finally went back today. My daughter's civics teacher didn't show up for school, they sent someone to her house and they found her and her daughter dead in their home from carbon monoxide poisoning. They had their generator running in the garage with the garage door down. We went to church with her and her daughter, my prayers go out to their family, such a devastating, unexpected loss.

We live in a very small, rural town. There are still several people without power, hopefully it will be restored within the week. Our community has really pulled together to provide shelter and food for each other.

Just wanted to let you all know that I am so glad to be back!! And, please pray for the family of Ms. Griffin.

I am very glad you got your power and internet back. That is horrible for Ms Giffon and her daughter! My prayers are definitely going out to her family, her students and friends that must come to terms with this horrible tragedy.

    Welcome back!

Wow! what an experience for you. It's always sad to hear stories like that of your daughters teacher and her daughter.

I'll pray for your community as it deals with this.

**glad you're back and you came through "fine"**

As someone who can relate, congratulations on the return of your power. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I am afraid before it is over, we will lose many more.

That is just so sad to hear. Last year we had people without power for a couple of weeks, but luckily we never lost ours. Glad to hear you have yours back. Winter is an awful time to be without it.

We had a couple of carbon monoxide incidents here, including one death, due to generators in the garage. Even with the garage door open, the fumes tend to go up through the attached garages attic and seep into the home. Police here made a radio announcement advising folks to put generators completely outdoors.

I'm sorry for your community's loss. Glad to hear you're powered back up, too! What a week!

Oh my. Such a time you have had. When that storm came thru, we thought it might affect our part of MO, but we escaped it. So sorry that you had to endure this, and also sorry for your community with the death of the teacher.
