I generally use cloth bags for groceries, but if we forget them and end up with plastic we'll reuse them. I use them for our bathroom trash bins instead of buying bags, keep a couple in the car for collecting trash (always collects with 6 kiddos), use them to bag up sloppy messes so the kitchen garbage won't leak, etc.

If we end up with too many, as often happens when dh does the shopping (he always forgets the cloth), I bring them back to the store for recycling.

I keep ours, we use them to bag our meat, when separating. Or I use them for rubbish as well.

I keep them and reuse them. Hubby takes his lunch in them since as a mechanic he has ruined any lunchbox I have bought him. Use them for trash, bathroom can liners, etc and anything really! My son made me a bag keeper in sewing last year

Me too! I swear my dh (truck mechanic) has ruined so many lunch boxes....and we won't even discuss the tupperware containers. He is now only to use select rubbermaid containers...or the few ziplock bags that I buy and then carries everything in a plactic bag. When the bag wears out, we just get another when we grocery shop.

We re-use the ones we get. I try not to get to many as most of the time I remember my reusable bags. I use them mainly for trash use.

We keep ours. We use them when we scoop the kitty litter box.
And also for the trash can.

We keep them and dh uses them to take his lunch in at work. He even brings them home. When we get too many, I take them to recycle at the grocery store. Although, their recycle bins are always full.

If they did away with plastic grocery bags I would be lost. I use them for almost every use so far mentioned in this thread. I save everyone even though DW throws them away when SHE decides we have enough. I hope she doesn't find my secret stash in the basement. How boring is my life when the thing I hide from my wife is plastic grocery bags?

They don't recycle the plastic bags around here, but they do take paper so I have started using paper instead. I keep a few plastic bags around for when I need a plastic bag, and I use them to line smaller waste baskets in the house. We are only allowed two bags of trash on the curb each week, but as many bins of recyclables as we have, so I'd rather get paper than plastic.

I use cloth but on the rare times I do get plastic I return them to the stores recycle box.
