Default Spiral ham at $1.19/lb, BUT, mismarked weight!

I was thrilled to see spiral hams marked down to $1.19/lb. BUT, I picked up the $17 ham and thought, "NO WAY this weighs 16 lbs!!!"

I had the meat manager weigh it -- Yup. It was really a 9-lb ham.

They somehow goofed and put the original price with the reduced per pound weight.

So, I got my ham for about $10.50.

But now, I'm wondering if they went ahead and re-marked the others.

And if it's worth another trip to the store to get an extra one!

Yep, hams freeze well. I bought a spiral cut ham at Thanksgiving and portioned it out and froze it. It's great!

I almost always freeze my ham too! I've never paid that much attention to the weight of the meat I pick up! I wonder if it was really a goof, or if it was a marketing trick???

I might have to start picking up my meat and heading to the produce scales to weigh them!

Wow! Ifyou hadn't had them re-weigh it someone may have paid that much! That's just wrong. I hope they did go back and check the others!

I think it was an honest mistake. And there's such a difference between 9-10 lbs and 16-17 lbs, almost anyone who looked at the price per pound would know that this was a smaller than 17-lb ham.
