I didn't buy nothing that I regret this week. I only bought groceries and went to the thrift store and found some yarn. I was a good girl.

Yes! I've gone HOG WILD this week. We got a 4K tax return so I've been living it up. I bought my 4 year old a $17 book that plays music and my 7 year old got a $10 DS charger. Plus we've eaten out like 3 times. And I bought two books at the thrift store... $6 total.
The shame.
I can barely handle it.Last edited by Nishu; 02-06-2009 at 09:59 PM.

Nothing here except getting chicken bouillon instead of the beef which I intended. I only have a big economy chicken in the cabinet already. Doh! Or the week before getting the fixin's for ham dinner only to forget the ham!

Well, I went and bought myself a stay in the cardiac unit at the hospital....... and after that I have had no opportunity to spend. It's hard to spend when I have to remain at rest at home.

Who has time to spend money when you are trying to get your house spotless in order to sell it?!?
Nope, no big spending here.

Actually, yes I did, although I'm still convinced it was a good purchase.
My DD and her husband and kids will be moving out of state in August or September, when she graduates with her BA. (They presently live within 9 miles of us.)
Anyway, I blew a couple of hundred on two camping spaces at Pokagon State Park for the entire 4th of July weekend! I justify it by reminding myself that this is the last summer we'll be able to go camping together, something we all love.
Besides, it's my birthday.
Unfortunately, I've gotten so mingy lately, that I cringe at anything in double digits, let alone triple. But my folks always told me that the one thing worth the money was travel, so I guess this counts.

Yep, I bought some doll furniture and then took it back for a refund, then used the cash to fill my gas tank. The last time I filled the tank it was only $1.45 so you can imagine when that was! I've been staying close to home!

Since DH and I NEVER do anything for Valentine's day, I decided to order some lingerie this year. Well, I placed the order online and it was more than I wanted to spend, but I figured with all my weight loss, why not treat myself!
Then the frugal guilt kicked in! I called the company and was able to cancel the order. I got a groan from DH when I told him that I had ordered it then cancelled it, but he did give me kudos for thinking about the savings account first!
It was a reminder lesson to me! I just need to keep my money in my wallet!

Well, DH bought a Mac Book this week. I wish he hadn't and I wish I kicked and screamed a little more. He didn't need a new computer, he already has 2.
I'm trying not to retaliate with a similarly stupid purchase.

We've been good for weeks, darn the luck. I even talked myself out of a new cast iron pan. Then again, I really don't need any more cast iron.
We've been trying to do our usual January cabin fever online madness but this year we're content for some reason and haven't bought a single thing. We can't seem to find anything we want to spend the money on or give up storage space to own. We're feeling lucky because we don't NEED a thing and don't even want much of anything at the moment. Maybe it's because we had to buy a truck in November and are trying to get back some of that money instead of spending, and because we're working on de-cluttering and organizing the house.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
