Spring count down!
Can you believe it! 41 days until SPRING......
After what seems like a long winter season we are finally getting closer. Even with 6 more weeks of winter, spring is only 41 days away! I am dreaming of warm weather, warmth of the sunshine, longer daylight hours, and flowers and gardens!
YAHOO.......I can handle 41 days.......
Are you dreaming of spring and the dog days of summer yet?

I usually like winter, but this one has been way to cold and way to icy!! I am already getting the spring buzz, I have started some of my spring cleaning, this way when it is finally nice enough out, we can just enjoy it and play outside with the kids, instead of cleaning!! 41 days sounds like a long time, but I am hoping it goes by really fast!!

Heck, I dream about spring even DURING spring! Then I dream about NEXT spring!

Looking forward to fruit trees full of blossoms and little green veggies and fruits bouncing out of the ground....DH aka Mad Hen

I can't wait for spring. These morning walks have really been unenjoyable. I need to look up some good shade plants since there are so many trees around me. I can't wait to be able to sit out on the balcony or patio, especially at night. Also can't wait to see if any of the herbs made it.
This coming week temps around here will be almost spring like. Can't wait.

I can't wait...But I need to hurry up and decide what seeds I need to order and then what flowers I want this year.

This is the first winter I've experimented with cloches over some of my vegetable plants. So far, they've lasted through a couple of freezing nights, so I am hopeful that they'll make it to spring. I've got several artichoke plants that are still green and healthy, and my bell pepper plants are still producing peppers, and don't show any signs of dying yet. My tomatoes, on the other hand, were not covered, and they collapsed into a pile of mush about a month ago. My chives are uncovered, but they must be a bit hardier than most veggies, because they just slowed down a bit, but still look green and healthy.

We're five miles south of the Canadian border and today we saw DUCKS on the river! We're hoping they know something we don't about when spring will get here.
Spring usually doesn't arrive here according to the calendar. If it's spring here in 41 days, that will be early.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have to admit I have spring fever badly. I have been planning a garden, flowers, and spring cleaning. I just have to wait out the cold weather and it seems like its been cold for ages. I am damn tired of the cold, wind, and ice. Now its been warm enough that the mud is everywhere, and the storms are due back in. So all the drying out has been for nothing as we are headed for more storms.
I dream of the warmth, the smell of fresh mowed lawns, the water on the flower and garden, waiting for things to pop up and see what is growing.......I need warm weather! Oh for some of the heat of summer, if I could just figure out how to can it up and use it in the winter!
