Default What is your favourite "shake your booty" song?

Inspired by Alam's "confession" that she loves Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" music video on You Tube, I am curious as to how many of us have a song that just makes you want to turn up the volume and get up and move.

I am not a Justin Timberlake fan, but I always turn up the volume when "Sexy Back" comes on. I also love both Billy Joel's "Pressure" and David Bowie's "Under Pressure" (sheer coincidence - not an indicator of my level of stress), and consider both of those volume-increase-worthy. And okay, I also think Eminem's "A$$ Like That" is pretty cool.

How about you? What makes you crank up the volume and dance?

So does that song make you want to jump up and "shake it like a Polaroid picture?"

Metro Station has a song called "Shake It" that makes me dance! I love anything fast and groovy. I'm a dancer by nature so I even sway to slow songs if I'm on my feet LOL. My kids and dh get a big kick out of watching me dance in the kitchen, while I'm doing laundry, etc.

I also love "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard and anything by Justin Timberlake. "In The Ayer" and "Low" by Flo Rida, "Life Is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts or whoever sang it before them LOL, "Ain't No Other Man" by Christina Augilera, "London Bridge" by Fergie are some of my other favorites!

"Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolf, "Makes Me Wonder" by Maroon 5, "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves, "Sing a Song" by Earth, Wind and Fire. Those are just a few. Wow, now I feel like dancing.

BTW, Madhen, I like "Sexy Back", too.

I'm old. I move to the 50s and 60s, especially anything by Credence Clearwater Revival. Also love some of the 40s big band sound: "In the Mood" for example. And I love instrumentals by Herb Alpert, Boots Randolph, and the like.

Well, I love Dusty Springfield and there are some Van Morrison songs that I'll crank up as well, so don't you go hogging all those "oldies" to yourself.

And lest we forget the British beat: Dave, Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick, and Tich's "Hold Tight" is a total foot tapper, as well.

And while you can't dance to it, Diana Krall's rendition of "Peel Me a Grape" deserves maximum volume any time.
