Books! I have decided not to buy any new books until I have read the ones I already have.
On 11-22-85 I married the man of my dreams.

Food.

Seriously. I'm doing 3 weeks without grocery spending, only milk & bread allowed. And diet pop for dh, because I didn't get that when I stocked up for the 3 weeks. So I finally got around to the grocery store for that, and I forced myself to not get anything else.
I wouldn't get a sticker on my chart if I cheated :-)

A notebook for my purse. Was in the dollar aisle and eyed a cute, small pocket notebook and rationalized in my head that it was only a dollar. Then, came back to earth and reminded myself of all the things I could buy with that dollar. So, no notebook. Not a big "not buy", but the pain was the same.

Well so far it's been a tv. We desperately need a new one because ours is really blurry and getting worse every day. I found one of the "old" style online for 219.00 and I really think I should order it since you can't find that type anywhere at stores and I can NOT afford one of the new flat screen ones.
I might still order it because I know when our's goes totally bad then I won't have any money to buy a fancy one and I might not be able to find the cheaper old style anywhere anymore.S

I went shopping with my mom for a dress for my brother's wedding in September.
I found a super cute sundress to wear to the rehursal dinner. But, I passed it up!
I probably should have bought it, becuase it was marked down to 39.99 (It was originally almost $80) and it was 75% off the sales price. But, since I have been pretty successful in shrinking my waistline this far, I figured I'd better wait. If I buy now, it might not fit come September, then it'll be a waste of money, and I'll never wear it...so even the super sales prices, won't be worth it!

~ I was going to stop for coffee on the way to work this morning but intentionally drove past the gas station.
Garbage bags is probably the big one. I have REFUSED to buy them for several weeks now. My kids keep asking when we're getting "real garbage bags". I keep telling them "I don't know". We have used up any of the old grocery bags I had stored from before we switched to cloth on a regular basis. (I've been useing the cloth ones for a LONG time but it's only been the past 6 months or so that I've been REALLY consistent about it.) Then I raided my mothers house for those old grocery bags. A couple of times we used whatever box we had emptied and a few times we used newspaper. I really don't want to buy garbage bags ever again but I have yet to figure out how I'm going to do this indefinately.
~ lunch at work last week - I never bought it on a daily basis but I did buy it frequently. They raised the price last week and now it's not so frugal so I'm no longer buying it.
