Anyone claim the most dependents they can through the year
and still get back $$ from income tax? In our home their is my,DH and DS. I had to increase my deductions to Married/3 to get enough $$ in my weekly check to make ends meet. In a few months I will be able to back it down a little. I'm really nervous that I'm gonna end up paying in. I never have before. I've always gotten back. I own a house and I save all my copay reciepts so that is deducted.
Anyone?Me 34 DH 37 DS 6

We have dh, myself and 3 kids I'm pretty sure dh claims 12 dependents and we always get money back. I'd say your safe.

I think if you are doing Married 3, you're fine.

God I hope so... I really have plans to put all the money on back bills. We did that almost 4 years ago and paid off almost everything on our credit report. A few months later my credit was good enough to buy our house. I just want to clean up my credit report. don't want more credit though. Just peace of mind that all those things that hang out there over our heads are gone, ya know?
Do you go to H&R Block or have a CPA? Once I bought our house I bring my stuff to a CPA that my SIL recommended. I don't get to sit and talk with them though, I just drop my stuff off and they call me when its done
Wondering if I should switch back to H&R Block...Me 34 DH 37 DS 6

I do my own taxes AND even have to file a Schedule C for my Avon business. DH claims Married (withhold at single) and 0. I claimed Married 1 when I did work outside the home.

True Story
I grew up in a really large family. Dad worked out of state through out my growing up years. He would usually come home at 4th of July (to light the fire works) and Xmas (to put up the tree). He would LITERALLY come home and ask our names and HOW OLD WE WERE!! Tells you how tight knit we were . . . .
Anyhoo - Dad filed. Mom filed. Even after the kids had GROWN UP AND MOVED AWAY, Dad continued to claim us . . .My Mom told me this about 3 years ago. Dad had "moved back home" and they filed jointly. He was STILL claiming all 10 kids!! Why???? "They're my kids" was his justification. Mom freaked, rightfully so.
I'd been out of the house for well over 20 years and I'm in the middle.
