Sheesh. Like I have $425 each year sitting around with nothing to do... it's in the bank earning money for me.

Oh, but its STATUS! You want STATUS don't you? Don't you want your associates and friends to see your STATUS card and just be so impressed?

How can you put a price on that???
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I do not have a card with any annual fee, and would never have a card over 8% interest fee.(I pay mine off monthly regardless). Good credit speaks for itself, I don't need a card to impress- though I don't get it. Who sees your card besides you?

I never pay money to have a credit card. That's absurd IMO. My MasterCard & Discover work just fine TYVM.

Apparently some people do. If this economy has them getting that desperate to get someone's money, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be the sorry one who falls for it. I don't go for even 1 cent of an annual fee. (Not that I need another credit card anyway...)

My Chase just started charging $120.00 per year. I cancelled that one quickly. It sounds like the are getting desperate.

Yup. Despe-Rate. I like to look at them and see why they think they're so important as to need to take up my time. I look at details, too. I've even sent paper ones back to them in their own postage paid envelope, letter and all. Take up someone's time to open it, expecting a credit application, then put it in your landfill, not mine.
